Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Assistant Marketing Manager to support the design, implementation and management of a variety of travel products and communication strategies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and capable of working alongside the Marketing Manager to enhance brand visibility and engagement across multiple channels.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Marketing Manager in advising management on marketing strategies and initiatives to align with company growth goals.
- Assist in coordinating media relations efforts, including preparing briefings and helping oversee media coverage.
- Help develop and execute a weekly advertisement plan in line with the company’s business objectives.
- Create and manage marketing materials, including information kits for events such as travel fairs and internal meetings.
- Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies for company events and initiatives.
- Support budget adherence and help track marketing expenses, ensuring cost-effective spending.
- Oversee specific advertising, promotions, public relations and social media activities.
- Assist in managing partnerships and sponsors to maximise the company’s exposure.
- Help respond to media inquiries and provide necessary support for public relations efforts.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of promotions and special events.
- Assist in optimising local marketing activities to enhance customer engagement.
- Support the marketing team by taking on specific projects, collaborating across departments and maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Help maintain and update the special events and campaign calendar.
- Monitor marketing budgets and assist in controlling expenses to ensure the efficient use of resources.
- Oversee social media platforms under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, ensuring responses to reviews and inquiries are timely.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of the annual marketing budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Help manage marketing communications for travel fairs and other outdoor trade events, assisting with advertising, sales promotions and collateral production.
- Contribute to the production and management of marketing collaterals and company website content.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years of marketing experience, preferably within the travel industry.
- Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or related field.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to think creatively and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and internet marketing tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
- IT and internet-savvy, with experience in e-marketing.
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends and public holidays as required.
