Job Scope:
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Oversee project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure projects stay within financial limits
- Manage tender processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts
- Monitor and control project costs, track variations, and report on financial performance
- Administer contracts, manage claims, and ensure compliance with terms
- Oversee procurement of materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Provide cost-saving solutions and optimize project value
- Identify cost-related risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost updates for stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor junior quantity surveyors and team members
- Handle disputes related to costs or contracts and negotiate settlements
Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management in construction
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Office-based with regular site visits
