The Site Engineer will be managing different parts of construction projects, supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. The Site Engineer should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines. The Site Engineer should demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills, display a superb work ethic and thrive under pressure.


Required experience in bored pile works, diaphragm wall and deep soil mixing.

  • Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
  • Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
  • Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
  • Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
  • Gathering data, compiling reports, and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
  • Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
  • Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.
  • Set out, level and survey the site.
  • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials.
  • Agree a price for materials and make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
  • Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
  • Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
  • Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects.
