- Review blueprints or specifications to understand the scope and requirements of the work.
- Arrange and secure rods in forms as per blueprint guidelines, using wire and pliers.
- Install fencing or other protective barriers as needed.
- Position structural components in designated locations.
- Secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms with fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.
- Install metal structural components accurately.
- Cut rods to the required lengths using metal shears, hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches.
- Prepare metal components for installation by cutting them to specifications.
- Place blocks under rebar to elevate the bars above the deck for floor reinforcement.
