RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Aid in the development and implementation of our trading strategy in Asia Rates Markets
- Contribute towards the automation and improvement of product offering to Clients
- Contribute to the Asia Rates Franchise development in New York, United States
- Construct trade ideas and communicate to the wider Macro Trading teams
- Interacting with clients to build rapport, increase communication channels and encourage flows
- Support the trading group in many of the day-to-day processes, which take the group away from the primary objective of trading financial markets and delivering the firm to our clients
Business
- Achieve the full year budget as described in the P3 objectives
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
- Deliver on assigned tasks and projects
- Contribute towards identifying opportunities for the desks across geographies and client segments
Processes
- Develop a strong understanding of all key in-house systems and processes
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations
- Ensure adherence with the obligations to prevent money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations
- Contribute towards highlighting any need to update procedures and controls because of changes in products, systems, policy or regulations
People & Talent
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations amongst colleagues and work in collaboration with risk and control partners
- Ensure active communication of priorities and progress to the business to foster engagement, awareness, and motivation

- Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others

Our Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Markets & Trading. Emerging Markets experience would be beneficial
- Master in Business Administration (MBA) or higher educational qualification.
- Well versed with Python programming language
- Well versed with financial platforms used for developing analytical tools – Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon etc
- A strong interest in the drivers of financial markets and grasp of both micro & macro economics and how they shape our asset class (Fixed Income & FX) and should be able to build strong hypothesis around monetary and fiscal policy cycles.
