Job Overview
The Finance Manager / Accountant is responsible for managing the financial health of the company by overseeing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations, optimizes financial processes, and provides strategic recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage financial models to support strategic initiatives and financial forecasting.
- Conduct financial analysis to understand the company's financial position and performance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, and monitor spending to ensure alignment with forecasts.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Forecast short-term and long-term cash flow to support investment and expansion plans.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure successful completion of audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team and liaise with cross-functional stakeholders.
