RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer central register of Underwriting manuals, guideline, Risk Acceptance Authority, Underwriting breaches, work processes
- Monitor overall pricing adequacy
- Support the monitoring, analysis and review to improve results
- Optimize Underwriting productivity and efficiency through technology and enhanced workflow for referrals
- Represent the company to liaise with relevant authorities eg. MOM
- Administer Group Underwriting Policies and Guidelines, including liaising with MSIG Asia/Head Office, the establishment of procedures, control mechanisms, monitoring and reporting
- Conduct underwriting audit of Business Units, Underwriting and Reinsurance workshop, training sessions
- Support the development and implementation of Environmental Risk Management framework and strategy
- Support management of Service Providers through liaising with relevant Segment Profit Centres and Business Units
- Support compliance with Group and regulatory reporting requirements (PPF, IFRS17)
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
- Tertiary qualification and/or insurance professional qualifications
- At least 8 years of Underwriting experience in general insurance operations
- General insurance market and regulatory requirement
- Knowledge in commercial Insurance business and underwriting, pricing, audit, referrals, review of policy wordings and product enhancements
- Business transformation, Digitalisation savviness
- Business Analysis and portfolio management techniques
- Knowledge in insurance products
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
