Central Kitchen Sous Chef
Job Description
- Lead the kitchen operation team to prepare and deliver quality product.
- Work with the kitchen team to maintain tacit understanding and work efficiency.
- Assist the chef ensure prepare or supervise cooking and other food preparation activities on a daily basis. In additional, the cooking equipment, work area and ingredients need to be checked to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. If the materials are insufficient, have to place an order as soon as possible.
- Assist in other ad-hoc operational duties where required
- Sous chefs may also be responsible for reviewing kitchen inventory and estimating what foods are needed.
- In addition, sous chefs may be responsible for running the kitchen in the head chef’s absence.
