Job Description
- Attend to telephone calls, emails, front desk reception walk-in enquiries (vendors, parents, students, general public) and receipt of deliveries.
- Support teaching and administrative staff by providing information to students and parents. To be present during curriculum days with the exception of occasional leave-taking (subject to approval).
- Facilitate communicate within the school by ensuring necessary information is properly transmitted.
- Attend to minor student injuries/ accidents and maintain the student injuries/ accidents records file.
- Assist with administrative duties e.g. filing, data entry, student attendance update, collection of forms.
- Perform daily upkeeping of counter cleanliness and keeping the area neat and tidy. Help contact parents, students, teachers and vendors.
- Assist with school programmes/ initiatives e.g. P1 Registration Exercise, P1 Orientation Day, Temperature Taking Exercise etc.
- Assist with any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school.
Requirements
- Able to read, write and converse in English.
- Knowledge in other languages and dialects would be advantageous.
- Able to work independently.
- Good team player with initiative.
- Pleasant personality, positive and cheerful attitude.
- Likes working with children, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- 1-year experience in receptionist duties.
- Previous work experience in school setting would be advantageous.
- Experience with admin work using MS Office would be advantageous
Working hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Fridays: 8:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
