Responsibilities
· Acquire new Chinese book titles
· Responsible for full editorial process from commissioning, manuscript submission to publication
· Perform desk editing and project management for books and journals
- Maintain positive collaborative relationship with all stakeholders
· Provide secretarial support to Chairman
· Handle all Chinese correspondences (emails, phone calls) for Chairman
· Coordinate meetings, appointments, events relating to Chinese Associations and Societies, including setting venues where necessary
· Provide Chinese to English translation and vice versa when required
· Any ad hoc duties when required by the Management.
Requirements
- Good university degree preferably in Chinese studies or in any field.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous, self-initiative, able to handle multiple priorities.
· Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates and stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and as a team player in a dynamic, international environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Must have initiative, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Prior experience in publishing will be given preference.
