1. Job Summary (General Nature / Objectives of the Job):

Oversee and monitor construction activities, ensuring that all project aspects meet regulatory standards and are completed within timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. The role involves collaboration with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders, focusing on site management, safety, and technical compliance in Waterfront Development construction project .


2. Key Responsibilities and Activities:

• Site Supervision: Ensure daily site inspections, monitor construction progress, and provide technical guidance.

• Quality Assurance: Verify that construction practices align with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.

• Safety Management: Enforce health and safety guidelines, conducting regular safety audits and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety protocols.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including reports, permits, and inspection notes.

• Coordination: Work closely with project engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve any site issues.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with Singapore's building and environmental regulations, especially for waterfront developments.

5. Technical Competencies:

• Knowledge of Waterfront/Marine Engineering: Understand specific requirements of waterfront projects.

• Construction Methodology: Knowledge of civil engineering, concrete works, and structural engineering related to main construction.

• Proficiency in Quality Control Standards: Familiarity with standards such as ISO, as well as local construction codes.

• Health & Safety Standards: Familiarity with safety practices and requirements on a construction site.


6. Skills & Knowledge:

• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project tracking software like MS Project or Primavera.

• Technical Drawings Interpretation: Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings accurately.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Singaporean construction regulations, especially concerning environmental impact on waterfront areas.


7. Formal Education:

• Major Study/Specialist (Education): Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Additional specialization in Marine or Waterfront Engineering is advantageous.


8. Experience Required:

Years of Experience: Typically, 5–8 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a similar role overseeing large-scale projects, especially those involving marine or waterfront development.
