Job Description
- Assist in the daily operations of the assigned science laboratories, science gardens, aquaponics, hydroponics and pond.
- Responsible for the setup, clean up and general maintenance of the science laboratories and Science Areas.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Recycling Corner.
- Assist in preparation of laboratory apparatus, equipment and teaching materials for scheduled laboratory activities.
- Assist in stock taking exercise and maintenance of equipment.
- Typing of worksheets and notes.
- Supporting and assisting in departmental events, activities and programmes.
- Any other duties assigned by the School.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Able to operate electronic devices eg. hydroponics sets, aquaponics and other devices relating to Science
- To be able to do gardening (weeding, planting and watering)
- Preferably with more than 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position and in a school environment
Working hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 1:30pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
