We are seeking a diligent and hands-on Project Supervisor to assist our Project Manager in overseeing small-scale steel structural construction projects. The Project Supervisor will play a key role in supervising subcontractors, ensuring site safety, and maintaining quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in civil structure, M&E, or architecture who are looking to gain practical site management experience and grow within the construction field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day site supervision, ensuring work progresses according to plan and meets quality standards.
- Support in coordinating subcontractors across civil, steel structural, and M&E disciplines, and ensure they adhere to project timelines and specifications.
- Monitor work quality, conduct inspections, and address any deviations from project plans, reporting issues to the Project Manager for resolution.
- Ensure that all site activities comply with health and safety standards. Conduct routine safety checks and enforce safety protocols among subcontractors.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on site progress, subcontractor performance, and any issues affecting timelines or quality.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, materials used, and any changes in scope, and assist in preparing reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Architecture or a related field.
- Valid Workplace Safety and Health Supervisor certification
- 4 years of experience in construction or site supervision, preferably with exposure to civil, steel structure, M&E, or architectural elements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and regulations in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
