The Quality Engineer applies engineering principles and techniques to meet the quality targets and organisational objectives in a manufacturing environment. He/She also assists in analysing manufacturing and quality issues make recommendations for out of control processes.
In addition, the Quality Engineer participates in quality improvement projects in accordance with organisational objectives.
The Quality Engineer is required to have strong communication skills, good teamwork and an analytical mind to perform his/her role well to achieve the desired organisational outcomes.
~ Assist in implementation of improvement projects.
~ Attend to internal or external audits related issues.
~ Collect data for analysis.
~ Enforce practices of good safety culture and good manufacturing practices.
~ Ensure adherence to processes and procedures.
~ Ensure all quality plans are properly documented and maintained.
~ Ensure no expired tools running in the production line.
~ Facilitate the implementation of quality system in the organisation.
~ Identify opportunity for continuous improvement projects.
~ Implement calibration cost reduction activities.
~ Interpret information provided by the network/dashboard for quality performance monitoring.
~ Maintain production yield targets.
~ Monitoring quality control and assurance processes.
~ Perform evaluation/experiments.
~ Supervise manufacturing work for workplace safety and health compliance.
