Job Description

One postdoc position is available at the Surface and Interface Lab of Prof. CHEN WEI’s group at National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on Interface Engineering for electrocatalytic CO2RR under a project on CREATE Program: “Development of Advanced Catalysts for Electrochemical Carbon Abatement”.

The project focuses on the interface engineering for electrocatalytic CO2RR. The selected candidate will work together with a team comprising experts in interfacial analysis about electrocatalytic CO2RR reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools.

Qualifications / Discipline:

  • The candidate shall obtain PhD or submit PhD thesis in Chemistry or Materials in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute. The candidate shall publish at a few papers on top journals.

Skills:

  • Excellent English writing and communication skill,
  • Team management skill (help PI to lead a small research team with 1-2 master students),
  • Expert in CO2RR-based catalysts synthesis, structural characterizations using TEM/SEM/AFM/XRD/UV-Vis/GC-MS, surface science techniques of XPS/UPS, NAP-XPS, and electrochemical applications (electrocatalytic CO2RR) of these materials.

Experience:

  • The candidate shall have extensive experience in CO2RR-based catalysts synthesis, interfacial analysis and electrochemical applications (electrocatalytic CO2RR) of these materials.
