Job Description:
1. SHI Group operates in a broad range of business areas ranging from manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to fields making use of the latest advanced technology. We are currently looking for a Managing Director who is responsible for directing and managing the core functions such as basic policies, strategic issues, operational plans, sales, marketing, procurement and logistics of the Company and oversee all business operations. This position is expected to be a strategist and a leader who is able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing the long-term goals, together with Senior Management from Japan HQ.
2. Overseeing the sales and maintenance operations for injection molding machines, with a track record of formulating and executing strategic sales initiatives based on comprehensive market analysis. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders—including clients, design and engineering teams, and Japan HQ to drive business growth and ensure the successful execution of complex projects.
3. Demonstrate leadership by overseeing the daily operations of all areas such as HR, finance, accounting, and general affairs, while also formulating and executing mid- to long-term strategies to ensure the sustainable and continuous development of the organization.
4. Oversee all projects and the operational infrastructure (including accounting, finance, legal, procurement, logistics, sales and business development) as a RHQ overseeing 4 subsidiary companies in ASEAN countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, The Phillipines and Indonesia), managing more than 100 staff in total, closely in liaison with the HQ in Japan.
5. Lead close business discussions and negotiations with senior managements of existing clients including Japanese companies and companies in ASEAN. Promote the development of new business models not only with existing customers but also with new customers.
Job Requirements:
1. More than 25 years of experience in injection molding industry, of which at least 5 years in the management level position. Successful candidate is expected to have the industry experience within the last 5 years.
2. More than 10 years of conducting sales and maintenance activities for injection molding machines as a Sales/Marketing Manager or higher position, developing sales strategies based on market analysis, and collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, design teams, and production engineering to effectively drive project success.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience as management level in a foreign subsidiary as a RHQ of a publicly listed company, with responsibility for reporting the performance to directly reporting to senior management of HQ. Successful candidate must have an ample experience in overseeing ASEAN countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, The Phillipines and Indonesia).
4. More than 2 years of working experience in overseeing financial statement and disclosure documents based on an international accounting standard as a senior manager or above. Successful candidate is expected to have reporting experience to Global HQ as a senior management of a foreign subsidiary.
5. Bachelor's degree and above for Science Engineering / Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
6. Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1) is required to make negotiations to senior management of key clients and fullfill accountability to the management and stakeholders of HQ which is a publicly listed company in Japan.
