Responsibilities and Tasks
• Drive Defect Improvement program, both tactical and innovation so that we have BIC (best in class) defect performance.
• Establish and maintain alignment of BKM and work on improvement with the site and is expected to help support different Micron sites when there is a need.
Performance Management
-Set clear direction, goals, and expectations.
-Provide a work environment that empowers employees to creatively improve their work environment, instills a sense of ownership in Micron, and supports a team effort.
-Complete written evaluations for each direct report once per year that outlines individual strengths and identifies areas needing improvement as well as a plan for improving skills. Meet with directs at least once monthly for review of their performance. Be specific on the overall performance of the direct report in each category. Clearly outline goals for each employee that will impact department goals.
-Work with team members on establishing high-reaching but achievable goals. Maintain a balance between task related goals versus results driven goals.
-Understand short-term and long-term goals within Central Team and the Fabs and how they relate to company goals. Assist in driving alignment on RAM related goals across the Fabs using common methods and metrics. Prioritize and align area goals with counterparts’ goals across sites.
-Create and maintain job profiles for each member in your group.
-Recruit top caliber members for the group.
-Drive accountability through clear communication, informal feedback, effective project management, and appropriate usage of metrics.
Strategic Leadership
-Assist in providing a “vision” for the Central Team organization and how the CPIE group aligns to that vision.
-Work with the Fabs and other functional areas on developing strategic business processes with clear and agreed-upon business rules.
-Lead cross-functional initiatives or enabling projects that support MLT and Company objectives.
-Work with peers and site functional managers to agree on a common direction on global initiatives and strategic projects.
-Support and drive Business Alignment activity within Central Team and the Fabs. Help establish priorities and set direction.
-Develop metrics for benchmarking Fab Performance. Identify and share/align BKMs across departments and sites.
Tactical Leadership
-Provide yourself as a “conduit” between the MFG RAM Defect Engineering team with key partners such as Process Equipment Engineering/ Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Integration / Yield Enhancement and Technology Development
-Provide tactical support to the Fab as the need arises for issues of yield, defect performance, cost, and quality.
-Coordinate issues between Fabs upon request.
Requirements :
- Masters/Bachelors Degree in Engineering or relevant field of experience,
- 3-5 years in leadership roles with relevant working experience
Maximizes yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes. Troubleshoots wafer fabrication problems and performs root cause analysis. Works with other process areas to understand and control process deviations. Long-term investigation of defect issues may require extensive work with shift engineering and other functional areas. Evaluates products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. Conducts research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommends process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.
