In July 2024, Delivery Hero SE merged its market-leading food delivery businesses, namely foodora and Yemeksepeti in Europe, and foodpanda in Asia. Together, all three businesses now form the second-largest organization within Delivery Hero, following Woowa in South Korea. Powered by Delivery Hero's Pandora platform technology, the newly formed organization will continue to be known by the respective brands to customers, vendors and partners.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal and regulatory advice to the senior management of the company and other relevant stakeholders, oversee compliance and risk management and will maintain and further develop our internal controls framework in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- You are responsible for the Legal function, and you will oversee the Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (“GRC”) activities across our 11 APAC markets as well as 6 markets within Central and Northern Europe;
- You will directly lead a mid-sized team of specialized lawyers in Singapore and you will indirectly manage a sizable team of legal, compliance and risk specialists within the markets you oversee;
- Your team will provide our business teams with legal and compliance advice on a broad range of operational, regulatory and commercial matters (including sales and partnerships, employment, competition, data privacy, IP, sanctions as well as financial market regulations) and you work closely with our Product department as well as our Management team in further developing our business model to drive expansion across our geographical footprint;
- Your responsibilities include corporate housekeeping for various legal entities that we have incorporated in the jurisdictions where we operate and you will be supporting a broad range of complex corporate projects (incl. M&A and restructuring projects) in collaboration with various other teams and stakeholders within our organization;
- You will be overseeing complex legal disputes across our markets, you will manage external law firms and consultants and you represent our company in front of regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders;
- With your team, you will identify and monitor potential areas of risk for our company and you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to maintain and further develop risk management measures and internal control frameworks to mitigate our risk exposure to an adequate level;
- Your team supports the implementation and enforcement of group compliance policies and guidelines (e.g. related to anti-bribery, anti-corruption and data privacy), trains employees and overall promotes a strong culture of compliance and awareness throughout our organization;
- You will collaborate closely with the Global Headquarter of our shareholder in Berlin to ensure that group priorities and policies are effectively implemented and harmonized both at the regional and local levels.
