You will work closely with the nursing leaders in training our care staff to optimize their competency in providing cost-effective quality care and to ensure clinical practices are in complaince with established standard of procedures.
Job Description:
Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)
- Co-lead IPC Committee with Medical Director
- Organise IPC meeting
- Provide IPC training, conduct regular competency assessment and audit
- Perform mask fitting and keep proper records for all staff
- Ensure staff vaccinations are in compliance with MOH / AIC guidelines
Wound Management
- Supervise Staff Nurse to collate information on resident wounds
- Conduct regular rounds to advise Staff Nurse on best wound management and prepare report on wound care progress
- In charge of wound care products
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Review and update SOP to ensure nursing practices are in compliance with ENHS
- Brief Staff Nurse on any SOP updates / changes
Clinical Practice Standards
- Conduct weekly survey on wards to check and correct staff clinical practices and ensure proper usage of medical devices
- Report and monitor inappropriate practices
Training and Education
- Organise and conduct training and orientation programme
- Develop training materials and upkeep in-house training portal
- Provide guidance and audit trainers and preceptors to ensure uniformity of training syllabus
Qualifications:
- Full registration with Singapore Nursing Board
- Nursing experience in ward setting preferred
- ITE Industry Trainer Certificates an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A team player and able to work independently
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
