Job Responsibilities:
- Help the Project Manager implement the safety management system for a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Acts and Regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to check compliance and improve safety standards.
- Monitor adherence to safety requirements and in-house regulations, reporting any issues to the Project Manager.
- Recommend corrective actions for safety non-compliance to enhance site safety.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, suggesting measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with officials from MOM, NEA, and PUB on safety and environmental concerns, taking appropriate actions based on their feedback.
- Conduct safety training and organize promotional activities to raise safety awareness.
- Keep safety documentation current and ready for audits by MOM, NEA, or ISO.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 45001 standards.
- Participate in risk assessments and manage safety programs.
- Organize campaigns and training to encourage workers to maintain high environmental health standards.
- Support the achievement of safety standards required by the site’s developer.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid registration with MOM as a WSH Officer and with NEA as an ECO.
