Job Description
- Actively identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in relevant sectors, including conducting initial research, market mapping, and analysis.
- Perform detailed due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, market research, competitive landscape assessment, and risk evaluation.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating investment terms, preparing investment memos, and presenting recommendations to the investment committee.
- Work closely with portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support, tracking performance metrics, and assisting with value-creation initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of exit strategies to maximise returns, including tracking market trends and potential exit opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
- 3-5 years in Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Investment Banking, with experience in tech-related sectors preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting investment opportunities and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in emerging technologies and start-ups.
- Familiarity with Web3/Blockchain or other emerging tech trends is preferred but not required.
