JOB DESCRIPTION
- Define key metrics for governance to ensure compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities
- Drive Data Governance and Management on an on-going basis through being the chair to the Data Governance Council
- Responsible for defining data policies and standards, managing stakeholder communication and progress reporting to leadership and executives
- Manage and coordinate all key issues and escalations around data governance
- Work closely with Data BP's s to build their engagement and stewardship of data assets
- Collaborate with our Cybersecurity and technology operations teams to implement data governance standards and best practices to improve the quality of data
- Leverage deep experience in the implementation of data governance solutions in such areas as: data quality, data lineage, data glossary, data security management, metadata management, and advanced data analysis solutions
- Write data governance policies, oversee the adoption of data governance efforts, and partner with the legal and information security teams to fulfill Keppel's commitments related to reducing Data Management risks
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- An excellent communicator who can drive the process to govern data at enterprise scale as the role requires close collaboration with senior-level executives (members of DG Councils/C-Suite), business data owners, and stewards
- At least 10+ years of experience in a leadership role related to data
- At least 5 years of experience either in leading a data governance function or being part of a team that managed large-scale data governance initiatives; with expertise in data governance, data quality industry best practices and framework
