Job Title: Preschool Teacher
Location: Bukit Timah, Holland, Ang Mo Kio Central
Working Hours: 7am – 4pm
8am – 5pm
10am – 7pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool Teacher with at least 2 years of experience and an Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where young children can grow and learn through structured play and age-appropriate educational activities. You will help foster the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and Implement Curriculum: Design and conduct engaging, age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that align with the preschool curriculum and encourage holistic development.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, curiosity, and learning, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of each child.
- Observation and Assessment: Monitor and document children’s progress and developmental milestones, addressing individual needs and adjusting teaching methods as required.
- Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on children’s progress, discuss any concerns, and foster a collaborative partnership.
- Safety and Hygiene: Ensure classroom safety, hygiene standards, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in relevant training and workshops.
Qualifications
- Education: Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in a preschool or early childhood setting
- Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children
- Other Requirements: Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management; CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
