What a Process Engineer does at HP:
- Support new manufacturing line startup and line reinstatement activities at Manufacturing partner sites.
- Develop, characterize, optimize and control new process and tooling to meet Design for Manufacturing criteria of new HPI cartridge high volume production.
- Involved in process and material innovations and qualifications to achieve cost, productivity, quality, safety and efficiency improvements.
- Practice and deploy Industry 4.0 & Sustainability projects to influence process and tooling design to deliver ease of manufacturability (IoT, Automation/Robotics, Data Analytics, 3D).
- Work as a team with Process-DFM Engineers and CM Engineers to simplify, stabilize and ramp manufacturing performance towards designed mature expectation.
- Exercise Strong interpersonal relationship building to collaborate with R&D, Automation Engineering, Factory System/IT, Planning, DPA, Product Engineering and Contract Manufacturer.
- Some level of traveling to Malaysia is required according to project need and within SG-MY country specific travel guideline.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong technical & analytical thinking, which build towards problem-solving capability.
- Sound knowledge in Applied Statistical methodologies.
- Good understanding of thermoplastics processing and properties.
- Ability to manage ambiguity. Proactive Go-getter with growth mindset preferred.
- Project activity execution with effective & resourceful issue/conflict resolution.
- Good communication and excellent inter-personal skills.
- Possess strong teamwork and ability to collaborate across functions, levels & geographies.
