Operation Support Lead

Job Description:

  • Oversee the daily operations of application systems to ensure smooth system performance and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Manage outsourced vendors and in-house contractors, ensuring that system delivery and operation needs are met effectively.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, working with internal and external parties to identify and resolve root causes in accordance with service level agreements and the incident management framework.
  • Oversee user account management, role changes, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with access policies.
  • Plan, execute, and support system implementations, software upgrades, hardware upgrades, and security patches.
  • Perform regular risk assessments to identify potential security and compliance issues, proposing solutions and overseeing the implementation.
  • Monitor and maintain software licenses, coordinating procurement and renewal processes.
  • Collaborate with internal tech teams and vendors to implement pro-active monitoring of application system health and ensure upkeep of system performance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancement by implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and user manuals to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure proper system administration.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing and supporting IT projects/systems, preferably within the financial or government sectors.
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and IT security will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, particularly in environments with diverse technologies.
  • Proficiency in writing Approval of Requirements, Tender Specifications, and Award Notes for ICT system procurement.
