Transition Manager:
A transition manager with application and infrastructure experience is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful transition of business applications and infrastructure systems from one state to another. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, technical teams, and business users, to ensure a smooth transition process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning and Coordination: Developing and implementing transition plans and strategies for application and infrastructure projects. This includes defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with project managers, technical teams, and business users to understand their requirements and expectations. Ensuring effective communication and managing relationships with all stakeholders throughout the transition process.
- Risk Management: Identifying and assessing potential risks and issues that may arise during the transition. Developing mitigation plans and strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure a seamless transition.
- Resource Management: Allocating and managing resources effectively to ensure that project deliverables are met within the agreed timelines and budget. This includes coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
- Testing and Validation: Working closely with technical teams to plan and execute testing activities for applications and infrastructure systems. Ensuring that all systems are thoroughly tested and validated before transitioning to production environments.
- Documentation and Reporting: Creating comprehensive documentation, including transition plans, project status reports, and post-transition reports. Providing regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and any deviations from the plan.
- Change Management: Implementing change management processes to ensure that all changes to applications and infrastructure systems are properly documented, approved and implemented in a controlled manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the transition process. Conducting post-transition reviews to identify lessons learned and implement improvements for future projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Project Management, PMP or related field
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of transition and management experience
- Experience in infrastructure and applications
