Job Scope & Responsibilities
- Legal and strategy consulting, including developing roadmaps and supporting implementation of policies and initiatives
- Provide advice on structuring investments
- Negotiate incentive packages with governments
- Provide advice on ESG issues, including reporting and human rights
- Manage legal counsel in Singapore and regionally
- Speak publicly at universities and other venues to create thought leadership and market the company
- Service present clients and develop new clients
Requirements
- Law degree from top university; qualified in a common law jurisdiction
- 20 years of experience at a combination of top law firm(s), intergovernmental institutions such as United Nations, private investment firms and publicly traded companies
- Experience on the ground in countries in the region (must include extensive experience in Bangladesh, Indonesia, The Philippines and Sri Lanka due to the requirements of the company's current clients)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Excellent network of potential clients
- Good interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English and ideally at least one other language spoken in the region (Bahasa, Bengali, Tagalog or Tamil)
