At ENGIE South East Asia, we set very ambitious target to help our Clients decarbonize through various pathways, i.e. energy efficiency projects, on-site utilities supply, district cooling systems, solar power generation, etc. And in every project we design, finance, build and operate the Assets with Performance guarantees over long terms.
As the O&M Engineer (Solar), you will be in charge of the Operations & Maintenance of ENGIE SEA PV Solar sites (70 by end of the year) in Singapore. ENGIE Energy Solutions is benefiting from a significant growth in the region and the number of assets under operation is rapidly increasing. This requires an industrialized, harmonized and coordinated monitoring process and liaison with the O&M teams to ensure that ENGIE SEA commitments towards its clients and ENGIE Group are met.
This role reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager which team sits under the Regional Operation Office. The role is based in Singapore and will require regular site visits within the country.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all O&M activities across the solar sites in Singapore
- Daily alarm monitoring and respond to anomalies/faults, communicating with the local maintenance team
- Schedule and carry out O&M activities – in coordination with O&M contractors and Client
- Track and supervise O&M CM/PM works.
- Participate and lead discussions with local clients, contractors, grid operators and associated stakeholders as required to ensure proper completion of assigned activities
- Work with the PV installation team and support on the PV system testing and commissioning as necessary
- Ensure that HSE standards are adhered to in operational sites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related fields is required.
- Familiarity with electrical drawings
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of professional experience. Prior experience in Solar O&M is preferred.
- Regular site travels within Singapore
- Basic understanding of solar systems and renewable energy principles.
- Willingness to work outdoors.
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of on-site work.
- Occasional weekend work for critical response to emergencies required.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability in solving problems promptly
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization and clear communication of organizational goals
