Responsibilities:
- Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, investigators, lawyers, 3rd party claimants, group companies etc.
- Train and guide assistants in their support role
- Manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably within agreed service benchmarks or applicable protocols
- Ensure reserves are provided or updated in a timely and realistic manner
- Add value to underwriters by advising underwriters on issues discovered during claims handling such as gap in policy wording and risk improvement
- Periodic review of files, as and when required
- Ensure recovery claims are pursued and followed up periodically
- Compile monthly/quarterly statistics and any other statistical data when required
- Any other ad hoc duties as may be assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in maritime studies or relevant marine claims experience
- Need to BCP, PGI and CommGI papers (before/ after started work)
