Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for research fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Yu lab has been established since 2021 and the major mission is to develop new therapeutic strategies for atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and metabolic diseases. We use cutting-edge technologies including functional genomics, CRISPR/Cas9-based functional screening, and multi-omics to discover novel therapeutic targets and disease regulating pathways. Appointments will be made on a one-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension – amend as appropriate.
Purpose of the post
We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and mouse models. Preference will be given to candidate with prior in vivo mouse experience or prior experience with metabolism or cardiovascular research.
Qualifications
- A PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
- Extensive experience in molecular biology and mouse work as demonstrated by a first author publication in a relevant scientific journal.
- Willingness to work with mice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work independently to design and troubleshoot experiments.
- Positive attitude and strong motivation.
