Job Description

Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:

A research associate position is available at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health to support a principal investigator in cardiovascular disease epidemiology research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The research associate will independently analyse proteomic and clinical data, contributing significantly to the understanding of cardiovascular disease. The role involves writing manuscripts focused on heart failure and developing and writing research grant proposals to secure funding for ongoing and future projects. The successful candidate will work closely with diverse experts, including epidemiologists, data scientists, and clinicians, to drive research initiatives in cardiovascular disease, ensuring a collaborative approach to advancing scientific knowledge in this field.

Qualifications:

  • Strongly proficient in statistical software (R preferred, Stata, or Python).
  • Experience in analysing clinical datasets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong skills in scientific writing and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment.
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Public Health with a strong quantitative background, Computer Science, or Mathematics with relevant experience in data science.
