Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the project execution with a focus on excellence to ensure overall performance aligns with the criteria established during the handover, including technical performance, capital expenditure, budget, schedule, scope, and risk management.
  2. Engage with and oversee both external and internal suppliers, including Engineering & Construction (E&C), while also challenging them to meet project standards.
  3. Coordinate interactions among various stakeholders, both within the country and externally (including E&C and other partners), to maintain the overall quality and integrity of the plant from handover by E&C to transfer to operations.
  4. Strive for excellence in construction and pre-commissioning activities.
  5. Evaluate the resources and skills needed to ensure high-quality execution of the project.
  6. Oversee change management processes and support the accountable person in negotiations with final customers.
  7. Track risks and implement mitigation plans as necessary.
  8. Manage owner costs and the overall project budget effectively.
  9. Review Change Orders: Review all change orders prior to submission for approval.
  10. Review the monthly report from E&C for accuracy and completeness.
  11. Compile monthly review reports and present them at the CI APAC Project monthly review meeting.
  12. Provide input to the finance team by developing a cash plan that is updated monthly, reflecting project progress, milestone achievements, and payment requisitions from E&C and subcontractors.
  13. Ensure that all developed solutions consider necessary aspects related to safety, quality, risk management, and Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
  14. Ensure that safety, quality, and risk management practices are consistently applied throughout the execution phase.
  15. Prepare for and conduct the capitalization review as part of project evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Science or Engineering (Chemical Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry)
  • A minimum of 15 years of professional experience is required, ideally with substantial experience in a similar industry. Candidates should have expertise in engineering, project management, construction management, project portfolio management, and project development.
  • Familiarity with EPC projects across various contract types.
  • Technical expertise relevant to the project scope, including general knowledge of mechanical and electrical tools, operations, and controls of process equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend applicable specifications and standards.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Management Systems.
  • Competence in cost and budget management.
  • Possesses results-oriented with influential leadership capabilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Safety-focused and commercially savvy.
  • Strong teamwork and networking abilities.
