Job Description: Inventory Assistant


Position Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our dynamic team

at our Vet Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory

management and a preference will be given to those with experience using EzyVet, our

practice management software.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Maintain and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, medications, and other
  • hospital materials.
  •  Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in EzyVet.
  •  Assist with ordering and receiving stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  •  Organize and label stock to ensure efficient accessibility and rotation of items.
  •  Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  •  Work closely with veterinary staff to forecast inventory needs and manage stock
  • levels accordingly.
  •  Help implement and maintain inventory management policies and procedures.
  •  Prepare and submit inventory reports to hospital management.
  • Qualifications
  •  High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in veterinary technology or a
  • related field is a plus.
  •  Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in a veterinary or
  • healthcare setting.
  •  Proficiency with EzyVet or similar practice management software is highly preferred.
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  •  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  •  Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed.
