Summary
Apple is looking for a thought leader in Market Research to support research and insight needs in Asia markets especially Southeast Asia and India. This position is responsible for developing research plans, managing local specific projects, working closely with local stakeholders and Research team to deliver insights that unlocks new growth opportunities for the local market and informs decision making. We’re looking for an expert in consumer research and research methodologies, highly capable and agile in analyzing and synthesizing data across different sources, translating data into actionable insights and linking it to business issues. The candidate should also have creative visualization and impactful presentation/communication skill. The key success factor in this role is the ability to design, oversea and utilize research programs to timely capture consumer voice and address unique local business needs. The success of this role will also highly depend on strong collaboration with other research members and local function teams.
Description
- Partner with local teams in SEA and India to identify the key local business issues, create research brief and develop research plan that delivers compelling insights and provides thought leadership.
- Lead, develop and manage primary consumer research execution for data collection and reporting, and conduct advanced analysis when needed.
- Communicate and deliver meaningful research results to key stakeholders and support insights communication for local needs.
- Manage syndicated data sources as well and triangulate data from various sources to deliver broader strategic insight.
- Work closely with other research members in the team to make sure the best synergy, high quality and seamless communication across the projects & deliverables in the Asia region. Support projects for other markets in the region when needed.
- Collaborate with global research team on projects involving SEA and India where local input & participations are required.
- Identify high quality local data sources and local agencies. Bring innovation to research projects including recommendation of relevant approaches that suit local markets best.
- Travel to US, China and other Asia markets is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in market research or human behavior, sociology or statistics related field.
At least 7-8 years of demonstrated success in customer insights / marketing research in a consumer technology / consumer products company or market research firm.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intellectually curious with proven track record in quantitative and qualitative survey analysis.
- Comprehensive experience in market research project and agency management.
- Highly analytical, capable to cut data for different needs and run advanced analysis (regressions, driver analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis etc.) when needed.
- Extremely strong communication, visualization and articulation skills to deliver meaningful insights to shape business decisions.
- Curiosity and perseverance, a drive for focus and excellence, ability to multi-task and ask questions.
- Dynamic and highly motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced and changing environment and always willing to learn new things.
- Deep expertise with application of a broad range of consumer research techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to efficiently manage and implement quick-turnaround, high volume of projects
- Great understanding of consumer technology industry.
