Responsibilities:
- Create, review, administer and update (monitor & track) construction schedule for project
- Collaborate with other disciplines to collate/provide scheduling data — subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates and resolution of potential schedule/work problems
- Interface and work closely with project team and sub-contractors to ensure required progress
- Liaise with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that may arise
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development and scheduling
- Prepare cost estimations and detailed man-hour calculations
- Monitor and track/record work delay/progress and prepare scheduling reports
- Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern to project management
- Prepare Project site daily, weekly, and monthly reports and project schedules
- Prepare cost estimation for any additional works and variation order
- Prepare Project site minutes of meeting (MOM) for the current progress meeting and other site meetings
- Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
Pre-requisites:
- Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role for power plant / industrial plant projects
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or MS project
- Candidates with experience in power plant projects will have an added advantage
- Independent and able to communicate effectively at all levels with other disciplines
- Good time management and planning
- Good organizational skills and methodological approach
- Strong attention to details
- Willing to work under pressure and in construction site conditions
