SB Engineer (Class 2)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the smooth and safe operation of facilities, including steam systems and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor control systems (BMS and distributed control systems) to ensure proper plant operating status.
- Conduct regular field inspections of plants, stations, and subsystems to maintain safe operating conditions.
- Supervise and lead boiler and plant operators, ensuring treatment processes meet emission limits and process parameters.
- Identify optimization opportunities and support the implementation of approved tasks by the site manager.
- Develop, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for plant operations and maintenance.
- Analyze steam operation data and plant performance, providing periodic reports.
- Manage recovery from plant process upsets and equipment malfunctions.
- Perform routine inspections and testing to ensure equipment safety and efficient operations.
- Maintain and update logs of maintenance activities and repair procedures using CMMS.
- Inspect facilities for hazards such as leaks, corrosion, or temperature extremes.
- Monitor steam pressure and temperature to ensure safe operations.
- Advise management on process efficiency improvements and cost reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by the site manager.
Requirements:
- Class 2 Steam Engineer certification (MOM/Singapore Polytechnic).
- Familiarity with FMEA, HAZAOP, and Job Hazard Analysis methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal, management, and decision-making skills.
- Innovative, analytical, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- First-Aid certification (advantageous).
- Safety-focused mindset and compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices.
