Our Team:
The SEA & India Head reports to the Head of Supply Chain International, and manages Pharma and Vaccines Global Business Units, and leads cross Supply Chain activities for the region to ensure deliveries of products and services to support the business performance and to ensure the best possible forecasting and supply.
Main responsibilities:
- Define and drive the Supply Chain strategy to support top and bottom-line growth ambition of Commercial Operations of the markets in scope
- Represent the affiliate as the key Supply Chain stakeholder, both internally and externally to the company, acting as the primary contact for that country in the regional and global Supply Chain organization
- Lead the Supply Chain department transformation: Continuously review and recommend changes in the Supply Chain procedures and working practices; Contribute to the company’s cost optimization through project generation and implementation; Build a truly customer-centric organization
- Optimize cross-functional support needs in the local organization, ensuring effective communication between direct reports and with other teams serviced or impacted by the Supply Chain function, in particular Quality Operations, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory Affairs and Finance
- Lead and direct the Supply Chain team, ensuring that staff are qualified and competent, properly coached, drive team engagement, given the opportunity to develop in the company and continually motivated to handle the demands of their jobs and achieve their objectives
- Ensure a permanent & full compliance to all guidelines, such as Legal, Internal and External Control, GxP and HSE requirements. This includes proactive prevention and in case of gaps timely and transparent actions to rectify gaps.
Lead, coach and support the Supply Chain team
- Develop capabilities and potential through individual development programs
- Focus on team engagement as an enabler for building a winning team that demonstrates our Sanofi Play to Win culture
- Drive the diversity and inclusion agenda in managerial actions
Inventory Management
- Manage, control and optimize local inventory levels
- Review Inventory holding & take actions for stock optimization to the achieve local / regional KPIs
Cost Management
- Define adequate action plans to optimize distribution costs
- Ensure the control of expenditures and track performance versus approved budget
Demand Planning and Supply
- To manage a demand plan for importation that will ensure on-time availability of products and to lower potential impact of Out Of Stock
- Liaise with Sales & Marketing and Finance to ensure an effective rolling-forecast process is in place
- Lead the trans-functional S&OP and IBP process, bringing anticipation/long term visibility & one single set of data
- Reduce level of destruction while improving forecast accuracy
- Support key launches and ensure 100% In Time Launches
- Ensure local coordination on all Sanofi Group (internal) and third-party (external) sourcing issues
Customers Focus
- Knowing who are our customers, not just traditional buyers or prescribers, but all stakeholders and their influencers
- Lead the Supply Chain customer engagement road map
Prioritize cross collaboration across departments
- Collaboration with marketing for demand planning, new launches, promotions
- Collaboration with Regulatory and Quality on artworks, new packs, etc
- Ensure reliable information to Health Authorities and Public Affairs when applicable
- To manage the Distributor KPIs
- Provide logistical expertise within the local organization, ensuring complete adherence to local legislation and implementation of Sanofi policies and procedures
- Provide to finance organization the relevant data (obsolescence risk, sales impact due to Out Of Stock, forecast numbers and gaps identification etc…)
- Act as a business partner in identifying the risks and opportunities of consolidated forecasts

- Relevant when market owns the warehousing operations, responsible to drive the annual program and safe operations
About You:
- Degree in Business/Logistic/Engineering/Management
- Minimum 5-7 years operational experience and success in Supply Chain operations (purchasing, materials management, logistics, customer services, S&OP)
- Experience in a multi-national environment in Supply Chain
- Proven ability to support the business and handle organizational and people-management topics
- Computer literate (Word/Excel/Analytical tools); knowledge / exposure to SAP and PowerBI
- Demonstrates capacity to understand key business issues which impact on Supply Chain activities and the role and impact of Supply Chain on commercial operations
- Soft skills: Effective communication, People Leadership, Strong negotiation and Stakeholder engagement skills
- Technical skills: Analytical, Strategic Thinking, Technology road-map, Process Improvement to drive simplification, Customer & Key Account Engagement, Vendor Management, Knowledge of GDP, Regulatory Requirements and Local Legislation.
