Position: Freelance ABA Therapist/Behavioural Therapist (1-To-1)
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-to-1 behavioural therapy and ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other behavioural challenges.
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students, utilizing ABA strategies tailored to each child’s specific needs.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, adjusting strategies to improve effectiveness.
- Work closely with parents and caregivers to implement home-based support, and provide them with regular updates on the child’s progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and educators, to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to the child’s development.
- Create an engaging, supportive, and structured learning environment to facilitate the child’s behavioural and academic growth.
Requirements:
- AHPC registration (Allied Health Professions Council) required for therapists in related fields.
- A degree or certification in ABA Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in providing ABA therapy or behavioural interventions for children with special needs.
- Strong understanding of ASD and other developmental or behavioural disorders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Ability to develop and apply creative, individualized behaviour modification techniques.
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their development.

Compensation:
- Part-Time Tutor: Up to $60/hr
- Full-Time Tutor: Up to $90/hr
- Early Childhood Educator: Up to $70/hr
- MOE/Special Ed Tutor: Up to $140/hr
- Enrichment Specialist (dance, art, swimming, etc.): Up to $120-150 per session
- Therapist (speech, occupational, physiotherapy, etc.): Up to $200-220/hr
- Psychologist: Up to $250/hr
- Counsellor: Up to $150/hr
