Job Description:
Functional Support:
- Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Analyze and design for new enhancements/functionalities.
- Data mining and testing to ensure new enhancements/ functionalities to meet business needs.
- Work with users and developers to improve processes and functionality.
Technical Support:
- Assist with Java application development and troubleshooting after post-implementation.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
- Support users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and fix technical issues related to Java/Cobol applications and SQL databases after post-implementation .
- Help analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.
Teamwork:
- Work closely with both technical teams and business users to ensure smooth communication.
- Contribute to system improvements and process automation.
Requirements:
Skills and Requirements:
- Knowledge of Java and Cobol Mainframe programming
- Experience with SQL databases and query writing.
- Good functional business analysis skills and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
- A team player who is eager to learn and grow.
Optional 'Good to Have' Skills:
- Experience with Enterprise Java-related backend frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JPA).
- Experience with frontend UI development, particularly with React and Typescript.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel VBA and Excel Macros.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience working with Java, Cobol and SQL.
- 3+ years of experience in Implementation (SDLC) and Change Request Related.
- Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.
