As a member of the Control & Instrumentation team, you will be responsible for the effective maintenance of control systems and instrumentation in the power plant to achieve high reliability and availability in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance work is executed effectively, efficiently and complied with safety and regulatory requirement.
- Respond and attend to plant failures and forced outages to ensure timely and proper rectification and restoration.
- Plan and ensure safe and timely execution of plant overhaul activities.
- Recommend and implement modification, upgrading and installation plans for plant system and equipment for enhancement, availability and reliability improvement.
- Manage the procurement of parts and services to meet the maintenance needs of the section, including spare parts and external services for routine and breakdown maintenance.
- Lead and manage a team of technical officers and technicians.
- Development of staff.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised by the Professional Engineers Board.
- Possesses sound knowledge of Control and Instrumentation and good working knowledge of safety and statutory requirements.
- Driven self-starter with strong work ethics.
- Team player with strong analytical, technology and communication skills.
- Is available on standby after office hours for emergency calls.
- Knowledge in cyber security will be advantageous.
- Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behaviour.
- Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.
