My client is a growing fintech company who is seeking an experienced Back Office Operations Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in securities or Global Markets operations, particularly in settlements, corporate actions event management, custody processes, and failing trade resolution. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of operations within their exchange platform, supporting alternative asset transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end securities settlement process.
- Manage the identification, tracking, and execution of corporate actions.
- Oversee custody operations, ensuring the safekeeping and proper documentation of securities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Monitor and manage failed trades, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Act as a primary point of contact for operational inquiries and issues.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Securities or banking related role, preferably with exposure within a smaller-scale fintech or start-up would be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of securities settlements, corporate actions, custody processes, and trade resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in relevant financial software and technology platforms.
