We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Sommelier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for wine and a strong ability to enhance our guests' dining experience through expert wine recommendations and exceptional service. The Sommelier will be responsible for managing our wine program, including the selection, purchase, storage, and service of wines.
- Wine Selection and Procurement: Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements our menu.
- Source and purchase wines from various suppliers.
- Negotiate with wine distributors and manage wine inventory.
- Wine Service: Provide expert wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and meal choices.
- Serve wine in accordance with proper wine service techniques.
- Educate guests about different wine regions, grape varieties, and winemaking techniques.
- Training and Education: Train and educate restaurant staff on wine service and wine knowledge.
- Conduct wine tastings and training sessions for staff and guests.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new wine offerings.
- Inventory Management: Manage wine inventory, including ordering, storage, and stock rotation.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all wines.
- Customer Engagement: Interact with guests to create a memorable and personalized dining experience.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to wine service.
- Menu Pairing: Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairings that enhance the dining experience.
- Update wine pairings as menu items change.
- Events and Promotions: Plan and host wine-related events, such as tastings, dinners, and promotions.
- Promote special wines and wine-related events to guests.
Job Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and pairing principles.
- Proven experience as a Sommelier or similar role in a fine dining environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities for managing inventory and events.
- Certification from a recognized wine organization (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET) is preferred.

- 5 day work week
- Split shift
