OVERVIEW:
Performs and supports EHS site activities and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. As a WSHO to provide advice to the stakeholders of the organization to ensure a safe place to work in. This position will focus on process safety and contractor management, contributing to both new projects and modifications to existing facilities and supporting the existing EHS department. This role is crucial in ensuring that safety regulations and internal standards are upheld, and that contractors comply with all relevant safety protocols. Key responsibilities include leading Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR), conducting Hazard Operability (HAZOP) studies, and managing contractor safety audits and processes.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR): Lead and assist PSSR for new projects and modifications to existing facilities, ensuring alignment with internal safety standards and MOM regulations.
- Process Safety Reviews: Conduct comprehensive reviews for projects such as BD, DD, CD, and DFS, identifying risks and implementing safety controls.
- HAZOP Studies: Participate and lead HAZOP studies, ensuring operational safety by identifying key risks and verifying safeguards.
- Contractor Safety Management: Oversee the contractor safety management system, including the prequalification process, safety audits, and risk assessments (RA, MSRA). Ensure contractor activities meet both regulatory and internal safety requirements.
- Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and audits of contractor works onsite, ensuring compliance with EHS policies and timely resolution of non-conformance issues.
- Toolbox Briefings & PTW Training: Provide toolbox briefings and lead Permit to Work (PTW) training sessions for employees and contractors to enhance EHS awareness.
- Process Safety Indicators: Collate, analyze, and report on leading and lagging indicators for process safety, providing insights to senior management for continuous improvement.
- Contractor Management: Oversee contractor risk assessments, track document expiry dates, and ensure timely renewals of safety certifications and policies.
- Field Walk-Downs: Lead field walk-downs during PSSR and HAZOP reviews to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Bid Waiver Approvals: Manage bid waiver approvals related to safety projects, ensuring alignment with EHS policies and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation Management: Conduct offline reviews of Trackwise and DMS to ensure the accuracy and completeness of safety-related documentation.
- Adherence to cGMPs at all times
- Adherence to EHS rules and regulations is required at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with Regulatory requirements and local Codes & Standards (e.g.,WSHA, EMPA, FSA)
- Good knowledge and experience of the practical and theoretical requirement of risk assessment.
