We are now seeking Field Service Engineers to perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation. On a worldwide basis, our engineers represent the company while servicing, troubleshooting and supervising repair of NOV equipment. They shall be proficient to make necessary repairs and minor corrections to systems as required and provide a high level of customer service for product maintenance and in-field repair.
Responsibilities:
- Performing on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation.
- Responding to requests for emergency repairs and services to troubleshoot equipment.
- Providing technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer's sites, developing and further expand technical knowledge and expertise, currently recognized industry standards for engineering ability.
- Maintaining knowledge of applicable product line warranty and accomplish effective warranty administration.
- Planning, preparing and/or instructing both internal and external training programs as required, to impart and perpetuate field engineering and/or product knowledge in area of specialization.
- Providing leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
- Maintaining strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within NOV safety standards
- Preparing timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages.
Job Requirements/ Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a related field is most welcome.
Technical Competencies:
- MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
- Ability to understand hydraulic schematics. It will be advantageous if the candidate is well versed in hydraulic / mechanical systems and also have an in-depth knowledge of the of the Drilling Equipment designed by NOV.
- Preferred working experience in Reliability, Availability, Maintenance and Safety (RAMS) and application of FEMCAs (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) strategies for predictive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance optimization.
