Baker
Job scope:
· Prepare ingredients, handle baking and other kitchen equipment according to SOP to achieve consistency of food execution and food quality
· Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
· Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
· Kneading, cutting and dough shaping in order to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, breads, cookies or sweet rolls
· Bake different bread types, like pretzels, baguettes and multigrain breads
· Crafting and creating new and exciting baked pastries/ breads/ pastry
· Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machine and other baking equipment
· Mix various ingredients to create fillings for pastries, bread, cakes or pies
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Require Skills/ Qualifications:
· Understanding of food safety practices
· Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
· Eye for detail during mix, proof, shape, and bake
· Possess passion in Baking & Pastry
· Experience with gluten free, refined sugar free and vegan baking a plus
· Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety precautions and regulation
· Experience with baking continental bread (sourdough, baguette, brioche, loafs, buns/rolls)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to read and follow recipe
· Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
