Job Description
Our client is a Japanese language school in Singapore.This role requires a commitment to 8 classes as a full timer and 4 classes as a part timer over 6 days a week. As a Japanese Language Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Japanese language courses, including up to Business Japanese proficiency. You must be able to connect with your students and understand their difficulties in learning the Language and you have to be able to make classes enjoyable yet knowledgeable.
- Preparation of lesson
- Conducting lessons
- Marking homework
- Making teaching materials/handouts, if necessary
- Attending meetings/training sessions
- Organizing & conducting cultural events
- Other miscellaneous
Job Requirement
- Certification in Japanese language proficiency, such as the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), ideally at N1.
- Completed 420 hours of Japanese language teaching course or A bachelor's degree in Japanese language, education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Japanese culture, customs, and etiquette. It’s important for language teachers to integrate cultural elements into their teaching to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
