he Resident Technical Officer shall report to the Consultant, be responsible for the constant/standing supervision of the construction of Civil & Structural works of the project and shall exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of the contract. The Resident Technical Officer is expected to know the Building Control Act (Cap. 29), its relevant bylaws and subsidiary legislation, rules and regulations and its latest revisions, have a working knowledge of the relevant statutory requirements, and comply with all the requirements concerning supervision, quality control and other documentation.
The Resident Technical Officer shall undertake all necessary duties as required to fulfil his role and responsibilities, including those duties stated below:
· Duties at Commencement of Works
· Keeping Records of the Works and Reporting to the Consultant
· Inspection / Supervision & Testing of the Works
· Monitoring the Builder’s Site Management
· Maintaining Documents / Information & Equipment / Provisions
· Duties related to obtaining TOP/CSC
· Duties at Completion of the Works
· The RTO shall execute his duties with diligence and care, acting promptly to deal with any problems arising.
