The Role: Business Development Executive (Commodities & Chemicals)
WORK LOCATION: 12 WOODLANDS SQUARE, TOWER 1,#12-74 SINGAPORE 737715
The positions will be based in Singapore and undertake the following responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trading opportunities and trends.
- Responsible for managing physical commodity trading.
- Execute trades and manage positions in physical commodities, ensuring optimal pricing and risk management.
- Negotiate and process term contracts for international supply.
- Oversee the logistics and transportation of commodities from suppliers to clients, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contractual terms.
- Establish new relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders and build upon existing ones to secure favourable terms and long-term partnerships.
- Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical commodity trading.
- In-depth knowledge of the physical commodities market, supply chain logistics, and risk management practices.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- MS Office
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be advantageous in dealing with China’s associates
- Be prepared to undertake business travels.
