The Network Services Operations position is a key role within the Command Center organisation to support the ever growing Network, Wireless, Security and Unified Communications products and services provided globally.
Within the Command Center organization this position is the Subject Matter Expert for the Network Services and Unified Communications. The role of the Command Center is to be the provider of end-to-end support to our customer base worldwide, thus the high level of expertise required to ensure the Command Center is fully self sufficient.
The primary focus is to ensure timely resolution of incidents brought to Level 2/ Level 3 and apply approved changes where applicable. You’re expected to provide knowledge sharing and transfer to the rest of the team.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Provide Customers with professional, timely and effective technical expertise on Network (LAN/WAN), Wireless and Security services support.
• Support or Provision Customer LAN/WAN/Security/Wireless changes on time and help to improve the process to “do it right the first time”
• Provide LAN/WAN/Wireless service support by owning customers LAN/WAN/Wireless incident within a complex topology (manage LAN, WAN, Wireless, IP Network routing or quality issues…) and developing a methodical approach to solve the incident or problem and escalate problem to supplier or internal Expert Practices when appropriate. Capable of analysing problems and resolving recurring difficulties through root cause analysis.
• Implementing LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security change requests for customers on the managed LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security solution (Cisco Router, Cisco Switch,Wireless (Aruba/MIST), Cisco UC, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper etc.).
• Maintain a comprehensive and update-to-date customer LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security topology database
• Operate customer WAN optimization and application compression environment base on product family from Juniper and RiverBed.
• Operate customer IPSec services based on product family from Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto etc.
• Expert knowledge of Firewall Management (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, WMWare NSX, Palo Alto)
• Actively contribute to improve and map LAN/WAN/Security/Wireless/UC processes within ITIL framework
• Contribute to the achievement of customer satisfaction by proving best in class support
• Understand complex LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP integration with WAN, LAN, Wireless, Managed Firewall and Unified Communications
Qualifications:
• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Data Communications, Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience in an operational role with industry Technical Certifications are required: Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper Palo Alto etc
• Good knowledge on one or more of the following areas:
o LAN/WAN/Wifi (Cisco Nexus, Juniper EX, Aruba, Huawei etc)
o Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, Multicast, QoS, SIP, VoIP etc)
o Security Management (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMWare NSX etc)
o Unified Communication (Cisco UC Manager, Cisco Voice Gateways, Microsoft Lync, PureCloud, Call Accounting, Contact Center etc)
o Tools and Automation for LAN/WAN/Wifi/Firewall etc
o Application compression, optimization and load balancer (Riverbed, F5 BigIP, Netscaler etc)
o Virtualization (VMWare) and Cloud Operations (IaaS, DaaS, SaaS etc)
• Experience in project delivery
