Responsibilities:
- Reports to Program / Project team lead in ensuring a smooth flow of the Project.
- Managing procurement operations for the organisation's projects.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards in all procurement activities and processes.
- Improves the procurement processes by proposing sourcing strategies and suggesting. Improvement initiatives to enhance the organisation's ability for timely delivery on projects.
- Engaging and interacting with vendors and other external parties, to manage the vendor selection and evaluation processes, as well as vendor relationships and performance.
Tasks
- Analyse data to propose changes to procurement policies and workflows.
- Clarify product specifications, cost estimation and project logistics.
- Develop new vendor relationships & sourcing proposals.
- Draft suppliers’ and vendors’ contracts for management approval.
- Ensure procurement operations and workflows comply with regulatory safety and quality requirements.
- Evaluate vendor performance to propose recommendations for future business dealings.
- Liaise with key stakeholders on modifications to sourcing proposals.
- Manage non-conformities in delivery schedules and products.
- Monitor procurement budget and expenditure.
- Participate in strategic sourcing activities, bid evaluation, and vendor selection processes.
- Prepare bid solicitations based on pre-qualification and assessment criteria for vendor selection.
- Prepare vendor category and spend analysis reports.
- Review and shortlist bid submissions.
- Coordinate with individual disciplines/trades in the Production Department.
- Monitor progress status of individual Disciplines within Procurement function.
- Monitor Material Status & Delivery from Client and Company purchases.
- Attend Client and Production meeting.
- Tracks potential variations for the Projects and to follow up with Commercial Invoices.
- Preparation and coordination of Technical Bid Evaluation.
- Close Coordination with Project / Program Management Team.
- Prepare and submit Project Documents through DCC.
- To assist in raising purchase orders (PO).
- Support for Project Cost Estimation.
- Any other jobs as and when required by superior.
Requirements:
· Degree in engineering and with experience in engineering and procurement.
· 4-5 years of experience in related field.
- Technical purchasing experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.
